The Z300 Electric ZTrak Mowers deliver the productivity and cut quality of a gas-powered Z300 ZTrak Mower. Many proven components, including the frame and Accel Deep™ Mower Decks, are shared with the gas-powered models.

Accel Deep™ Mower Decks mow well fast

Mower decks are 4.83 to 4.97 in. (12.3 to 12.6 cm) deep with a flat top and large discharge opening.

• Cut and suspended material can exit the mower deck without getting recut:

The Z300R Electric ZTrak Mowers are powered by lithium-ion batteries that have up to twice the capacity of competitors:

• Z370R with 42‑in (107‑cm) mower deck has 3.56 kWh battery; confidently mow 2 acres on a charge
• Z370R with 48‑in (122‑cm) mower deck has 3.56 kWh battery; confidently mow 1.8 acres on a charge
• Z380R with 54‑in (137‑cm) mower deck has 7.12 kWh battery; confidently mow 3.5 acres on a charge

Efficient Accel Deep™ Mower Decks

Optimized blades give excellent cut quality, resilience to damage, and long wear life like the blades used on gas-powered Z300 ZTrak Mowers.

When the battery nears depletion, the mower blades switch off and a battery reserve allows you to drive the mower to a charging outlet:

Productivity

The electric transaxle has the same 7 mph (11.3 km/h) maximum forward travel speed as the transaxle used on gas-powered Z300 ZTrak Mowers. The wider 48‑in. (122‑cm) and 54‑in. (137‑cm) mower decks are more productive and extend further leftward which improves trimming.

Electric powertrain

Onboard smart charger

Smart charger is built into the mower:

• Doesn’t consume wall or counter space
• Doesn’t require moving the batteries between charger and mower
• No battery contacts to deteriorate
• Charge anywhere with a standard 120‑volt outlet and grounded extension cord

Smart charger continuously monitors battery and ensures optimum charging rate based on battery level and environmental conditions. Recharging a completely depleted battery is expected to take 6 to 12 hours. Charge time may vary depending on temperature and condition of the battery.

The same weatherization technology used on John Deere’s agriculture and construction products is found on Electric ZTrak Mowers for dependable, trouble-free performance.

Sealed battery with 5-year or 200-hour warranty

The battery is sealed to protect it from the elements:

• Meets IP66 (ingress protection) rating
• Solid protection—no dust can enter battery
• Water protection—no water can enter battery from washing
• Competitive electric mowers do not meet this standard, leaving them vulnerable

• Rear cover provides additional protection to sealed battery and electrical hardware
• Backed by a 5-year or 200-hour, whichever comes first, warranty
• Optional PowerGard™ Lithium-Ion Battery Protection Plan extends battery warranty to 10 years or 400 hours (U.S. only)

Sealed motors and high-quality connectors

The mower deck motors are also sealed to keep dust and water from entering. High-quality electrical connectors are also used throughout the mower.

High-quality paint

All John Deere mowers are painted with a dual-stage E-coat process using powder-paint coatings to provide protection from fading and corrosion.

Frame

• Robust 2.5 × 2 in (6 cm × 5 cm) steel tubing in front and 1.5 × 2 in (4 cm × 5 cm) steel tubing on the sides
• A front bumper protects the front of the mower from damage
• Caster wheel pivots have sealed bearings for easy steering and long life

Mower Decks

The Accel Deep™ Mower Decks are forged from heavy-gauge steel:

• 42 in: 12-gauge, 0.105 in (2.7 mm)
• 48 in and 54 in: 10-gauge, 0.135 in (3.4 mm)

• Formed spindle pockets, side gutters, and deck-shell ribs that provide extra strength
• Double captured mower wheels for increased durability
• 5/8 in (16 mm) solid-steel rod side bumper provides extra protection

Transaxle

• Sealed, with no hose connections that could leak
• Beefed-up 1 in (2.5 cm) axles with four-bolt hubs
