Compact Tractor FAQs

What size compact tractor do I need?

It depends on your acreage and the jobs you’ll do most. A 1 or 2 Series handles mowing and light loader work on residential property, while a 3 or 4 Series is better for hay, pasture and heavier implements. Stop by a Sunshine location and we’ll match a tractor to your land.

What’s the difference between compact and utility tractors?

Compact tractors (1–4 Series, 23–66 HP) are smaller and easier to maneuver for property and small-farm work. Utility tractors (5 and 6 Series, 45–250 HP) are built for full-time farm and ranch work with larger implements.
